It felt very rushed to leave El Tabo. We were under a time crunch to catch the bus to Santiago. Unfortunately, we had to return to the capital to get to Los Angeles.

Dad arranged a Taxi with the security office to get us to the terminal. Once the taxi arrived, we were all surprised because it was a small Subaru. It was tough to cram everything and everyone into the car.

After arriving at the station, we were all in a rush to get on the bus because there was little time left before it departed. After a 2 hour ride, we got off the bus and headed to the next platform. Mom fell over backward with her pack on; she struggled to get up, rolling around like a turned-over turtle. Thankfully, a bus driver helped her up.

We dropped our packs and off we went to find bathrooms. Once we returned from the restroom, it was time to get on the second bus. It was easy peasy pumpkin squeezy. The bus ride was long, but at least we survived. We arrived around 8pm into Los Angeles, and we walked with our packs to the Airbnb. The weight of our packs made the walk long and painful.

The Airbnb was in a typical Chilean apartment complex. It was small and basic, but it was just for the night as we were off to El Rincon eco-hotel. This time, Dad ensured it wasn’t a tiny car that drove us there. Sadly, the Uber driver missed the exit, and we had to drive miles to turn around. After leaving the highway, the road got very bumpy as it was not paved. Finally, we arrived at the El Rincon and were greeted by the owner and her family.

Thanks for reading.
