We were invited to Ireland to watch over a home with 4 loving rescue dogs and chickens. The family invited mom to stay with us too, which made our time there extra special.
In our beginning days we were told about an informal knitting group, “Knit and Natter”, so we dropped by. Little did we know all of the community activities and relationships it would lead to! Wednesdays were spent participating in sewing and aerobic activies or helping make lunch or tea, with the Carlingford Connect Well.
Just about every day was spent exploring various historical monuments. We took a road trip into Northern Ireland to visit the Giants Causeway, but not before stopping by the woods made ever so famous by Game of Thrones. We journeyed over to the Slieve League Cliffs in County Donegal and took in the second highest cliffs in Ireland and they literally took our breathe away with the blowing wind! We explored castles, and tweed factories and appreciated the landscape of sheep, cows, and rolling green hills, all along the way.
