Does anyone else burrow? An overdue update

I find that my ability to communicate and share fluctuates with my mood, which correlates to the amount of overwhelm that I am feeling.  I have been burrowing for the past two months, as so many changes have occurred.

Let me start off by saying that we are all well and healthy and happy.  The girls are so wonderful in being flexible and have been involved in the decision making process; their ability to be logical has helped soften the sideways blows.  Here are the bullet points of what has been going on.

Our House in MA: Our friends were instrumental in finishing projects we left undone and taking care of the place, preparing it to be rented.  December, January and February brought lots of showings and interest but no one with the financial requirements to be able to pay the bills of an old house.  We couldn’t carry the cost of the house anymore and had to make the difficult decision to sell.  In less than a week we had five offers to choose from; we close in April.

Chile: We spent two months in Chile, five of those weeks on a beautiful heritage apple farm in Valdivia. We were making plans to continue our travel deeper into Patagonia when we learned that Rich’s Nan in England passed away.  We decided that our journey in South America would have to be postponed.

England:  We flew to England on February 18th to be with family and pivot our adventure to traveling around the UK.  A friend made space for us in his home.  We have been spending time with family and introducing the girls to the areas that Rich grew up in.  We spent a week on a farm, house sitting, and only confirmed our love of the lifestyle.

Our tourist visa’s run out in August; until then we plan to travel the UK and catch up with friends and family. Who knows where we will travel to at that point.

Maybe burrowing isn’t the correct word after all.  I have been focusing on navigating the many big changes that have been going on, with the girls being my priority.  As things have calmed down a bit, we are excited to get back to sharing stories of things we have done and places we have experienced on our adventure.
